Interpretive Design
To welcome visitors to the new Merimbula Airport, we created an engaging interpretive art installation.
Centred around commissioned works by Bermagui artist Nat Carroll, our installation featured must-see Sapphire Coast highlights between Bermagui and Lake Wonboyn. A QR code allowed travellers to link to all the Sapphire Coast has to offer.

"Bega Valley Shire Council engaged The Destination Agency to install advertising material at the recently upgraded Merimbula Airport terminal to encourage visitor dispersal across the Sapphire Coast. TDA engaged proficiently with local industry, airport management and Council staff. The design and installation was challenging due to fixtures on the wall and other constraints. TDA and the artist dealt with these challenges skilfully and creatively. Council was provided with drafts of the mural and given ample opportunity for feedback. Council is pleased with the result which is colourful, enticing and unique."
